Lilly Drumeva is a Bulgarian singer, songwriter and music producer. She formed Bulgaria\u2019s most successful country and bluegrass band \u201cLilly of the West\u201d in 1996, still active today. The group has performed in many European countries and the US, winning prestigious awards. Lilly has released ten albums and has organized numerous music events, concerts and festivals. She is also a renowned music journalist and radio presenter (BBC, Balkan Bulgarian Television, Retro Radio, Radio Sofia). Lilly is a Fulbright scholar and has studied music in Nashville, TN. She is the author of the book \u201cIn The Mood With Lilly \u2013 50 Music Themes\u201d, a music encyclopedia in Bulgarian language. Lilly is also a successful music promoter, organizing tours for American and European artists.<\/p>\n
\u201cStrong Machine\u201d is my tenth album since I started playing music back in 1996. It is inspired by different events in my life. Some good, some bad, but dealing with them made me stronger. Sometimes I am amazed about human willpower and how much it can achieve. It doesn\u2019t matter how you look physically but how strong you are inside, how much energy and drive you have. Reflecting on my achievements sometimes they exceed my expectations. It makes me feel like a \u201cstrong machine\u201d. On this album I am experimenting with a new genre – \u201cacoustic pop\u201d – often played on the radio and very easy to listen. I teamed up with two gifted Bulgarian musicians and writers \u2013 Stamen Yanev and Nikolay Peev. Together we wrote and arranged most of the material. The songs are in English and Bulgarian, written during the past couple of years. Hope you enjoy this collection of original works. Hope to see you at my shows in Bulgaria and around the world!<\/p>\n
